Update from the secretary
As many of you are aware Darren and Suzie took over officially as stewards on the 11 th of January and they are both looking forward to a new challenge. You may have already seen that Darren has created a WhatsApp group called Faversham Club Community. The idea is
that he can instantly share announcements, updates, and reminders of what is going on from fun nights to latest beers on offer. Please see the notice board for details how to join.
I would also take this opportunity to thank Martin Brenchley for the hard work he has put in during his tenure as steward. Not only has he introduced some great new beers he has also spent a lot of time with Darren sharing his expertise. You will still see Martin as he will be
working behind the bar a few times a week.
Many of you have been enquiring about food and when it will be available. Darren and Suzie are keen to start but it is on hold as we are in the process of refurbishing and refreshing the kitchen. As soon as we have a date, we will let you all know.

Using Club Garden
Come and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of the club garden, sit a while with drinks and friends or take time for yourself with a book and a glass of your favourite tipple, cuddle up with a blanket on a cool summer evening.
Maybe drop by for a sandwich and a chat on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday lunchtimes.

Bingo
Bingo is held every First Monday of the month

Bar Billiards Table
We are pleased to announce that we now have a Bar Billiards table in the Games bar… come and enjoy a few rounds with a drink or two!
Cribbage
Cribbage is a traditional card game for two people. It is played with four cards per player. It involves a ‘crib’, which is a stack of four discarded cards, and a special cribbage board with pins that mark the scores.
The Faversham Club Crib Night takes place every last Thursday of the month. Participation is £4, and there are first and second prizes to be won. “Britain’s national card game” is the only one that is legally playable on licensed premises.
Cribbage is hugely sociable. We play six rounds in our competition, and after each round, all players regroup to play against a different opponent. Not only will you meet new people, but you can have a lot of fun whilst giving your brain cells a good workout, as in each game the cards are counted up to 31.
If you are intrigued and would like to join in or learn this traditional card game from scratch, contact the Membership Secretary. We would be delighted to arrange for a one-to-one training and practice session.
